COVID Protocols for 2021
Pool Protocols & Guidelines for 2021 (updated May 28, 2021)
The Club continues to follow guidance from Governor Northam and Fairfax County with regard to operating rules and protocols for the pool.
According to both the Virginia Department of Health (https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/coronavirus/cloth-face-covers/) and the Fairfax County Department of Health (https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/covid19/face-coverings) masks are no longer mandated in the environment that our Club falls in to. In keeping with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and the Virginia Department of Health, Chesterbrook’s policy is that masks are not required for those who are fully vaccinated or under the age of 5. For those who are not fully vaccinated, masks are still required when indoors (clubhouse or bathroom facilities) or when social distancing is not possible. As previously stated, management will not be inquiring into the vaccination status of individuals at the Club. Therefore, we are relying on self-enforcement of the mask policy for unvaccinated individuals.
Social Distancing & Capacity Limits:
Beginning May 28th, Virginia and Fairfax County lifted all social distancing and capacity limit rules. Chesterbrook is conforming to this change and will no longer have distancing rules for free swim, deck seating, lap lanes, or elsewhere in our facilities.
The snack bar area will be open, but we will not be serving hot food for the foreseeable future. Members are permitted to bring their own food and eat off the deck in the picnic area and snack bar.Chesterbrook is following guidance from the Governor’s office and will continue to make changes to our rules and operations as the regulations allow.
We much appreciate your patience and courtesy.
