Zach Pine, USPTA (Director of Chesterbrook Tennis)

As a junior tennis player, Zach Pine was ranked number one in the state of Virginia, 1st in the USTA Mid-Atlantic section, and 50th nationally. Zach also played 4 years of high school tennis for Flint Hill School in Oakton, Virginia, leading the Huskies to three state championships. During his high school run, he earned recognition as a two-time Virginia State Player of the Year, and as two-time Washington Post “All-Met” First Team honoree. Coach Zach would go on to graduate from Virginia Tech in 2012, where he played D1 tennis for 4 years, while working vigorously achieving an ITA team ranking of 16th in the nation. As a coach, Zach has 9 years of coaching experience with players of various different ages and skill levels, and is recognized as a USPTA certified Elite Professional.  Have a question for Zach?

Diego Hatem, Head Staff Professional

Diego began his tennis career at the age of 9, in San Miguel de Tucuman, Argentina.  As a junior player, he excelled in all age divisions, going on to accomplish a top ranking of 5 in Argentina, his home country. Throughout his career, he has played and competed against former top professionals including David Nalbandian and Guillermo Coria, both of whom achieved #3 world ranking.  After his amateur playing career, Diego’s passion for the game propelled him to begin his own tennis academy in Argentina, and later in the U.S. With over 20 years of high-level playing and coaching experience, Diego continues to be committed to sharing the lifetime sport of tennis with as many students as he can, for all ages and levels.

Matt DaRosso, Professional Tennis Coach

Starting his passion for tennis at the age of 4, Matthew DaRosso has played in every single level of the junior developmental pathway, including NCAA level competition. Born and raised in Yonkers, NY, Coach Matt is a newcomer to the DMV area, making his arrival in June 2021. A recent University graduate, Matt spent 4 years playing NCAA Division 3 Tennis at Regis College based in Boston, Massachusetts. Playing high level competition, he took this time to perfect his craft to potentially pass along to others in the near future. During the Fall of his Senior year at Regis, Matt worked at the New Rochelle Racquet Club in New Rochelle, NY as a coach/tournament director until his College graduation. Shortly, after graduation he made his way down to the Silver Spring, Maryland area. Matt is now a full-time coach, tournament director, and administrative assistant for ProsToYou Tennis. Coach Matt is an advocate for creating a positive, yet challenging environment to instill a love for the game while developing fundamental skills for all ages. His main goal is to always leave you wanting more week in, week out!

Damiisa Robinson, Director of Player Development

Damiisa Robinson owns a distinguished tennis career, playing D1 for four years at Clemson University, where he would become ACC Champion in both singles and doubles, as well as serving as team captain during his junior and senior years. He finished his college career with a top 8 ranking in the country, and also appeared in the 2004 NCAA National Championship Tournament Final 8. Coach Damiisa continued on to play on the ATP Tour, where he became ranked in both singles and doubles. In 2005, Damiisa was also presented with the honor of representing Nigeria in the Davis Cup held in Dublin, Ireland. Damiisa has been coaching in the DC Metropolitan area for the last 13 years. In 2012, he became the Director of Tennis at The Southeast Tennis and Learning Center for The Department of Parks and Recreation in Washington, DC. He also worked in a variety of different roles at various private clubs, including Sport & Health in Bethesda, MD and Mclean, VA; Jack Schore Tennis in Potomac, MD and Germantown, MD; Fairfax Racquet Club, and Cherry Hill Health and Racquet Club in New Jersey. He has worked with every kind of student; from tiny tots to seniors, and even beginners to internationally ranked players. Damiisa’s years of competitive experience paired with his many years of coaching allows him to hone his player’s skills, as well as draw out their full potential as a tennis player.

Nim Mohan, Program Manager

Nim Mohan attended Miami University (OH), where she played on the varsity tennis team for four years and received her undergraduate degree in Finance. Prior to graduating, Coach Nim became a volunteer assistant coach for the Miami University Women’s Tennis team, and quickly made a positive impact. Following her tenure as volunteer assistant coach, Nim worked for Lagardere Sports as a Special Events Associate in 2017. During this time, Coach Nim worked tirelessly, overseeing and executing Citi Open’s first-ever week-long junior summer camp, along with supervising various other tennis clinics and special events before and during the tournament.

Mike Nicholson, Tennis Coach

Coach Mike has previously coached at the Blue Ridge Tennis Academy and as a lifelong tennis enthusiast   has played competitive tennis both on teams and in tournaments for many years. Coach Mike’s philosophy is all having fun on the court, and getting grounded in the fundamentals of this great sport.   He believes it is important to respect yourself, your tennis partners and the game by giving your best effort.  His approach is to accentuate the positive on the court, and build on these successes.  His  goal is to get the students to fall in love with the game, improve, have fun and come back looking to play more.

Angela Davis, Director of Operations, Player Experience & Tennis Coach

Angela Davis is the Director of Operations, Player Experience & Tennis Coach at ProsToYou Tennis. Angela has been in the customer service industry for 15 years specializing in the needs of the clients in the communities which she serves with a focus on positive and resourceful resolutions and always maintaining a personal touch along the way. She has over 7 years of tennis teaching experience in the 10 & Under age group. Angela creates a fun friendly atmosphere on the court while also ensuring that each student learns and develops proper stroke techniques in the enrichment program. Angela has a passion for students’ success both on and off the court and brings a lifelong connection to students to keep tennis in their lives for the long haul!
