Junior Tennis Clinics

 

A Plus Sports is proud to offer tennis clinics at Chesterbrook Swim and Tennis Club. We offer comprehensive tennis instruction for every age group from a player’s first strokes to the collegiate level. Our program is focused on three specific areas; skills acquisition, practice / development and competitive application. Players graduate to a higher level based on their progress, ability and commitment.

Class Descriptions

FUNdamental Classes

Emphasis on stroke development, movement, and positioning. Courts used: full-size for Yellow/Green, 60’ court for Orange, 36’ court for Red. Max 5 players per court.

Competitive Classes

For players who can rally and serve consistently. Focus on court coverage, point production, and advanced skills. 60’ court for Orange, full-size for Green. Max 5 players per court.

High School

For experienced players aiming for high school varsity or with prior high school experience. Technical development and strategic application emphasized. UTR 1–2.39. Max 5 players per court.

Weather Policy:

We will cancel classes if the courts are too wet to play, due to rain or snow, or if the “feels like” temperature drops below 40 degrees. For heat cancellations we will generally follow Fairfax County’s “red days,” but we reserve the possibility to cancel for extreme conditions as well. In such cases we will issue your court reserve account a refund for the cost of the class which you can use as credit to sign up for any other open class. Please check your court reservation email account; we will send a notification about an hour before the class starts. The timing window may be tighter then this if it rains closer to the start of class but we will do our best to provide early notification.
 

Withdrawal:

Personal reasons for withdrawal are completely acceptable, but you must provide 48 hours’ notice, by email or through court reserve withdraw function, before your class begins to receive your refund credit!

If you are requesting a makeup, you must email A Plus Sports at [email protected] with the date that your child will be absent from clinic. From there, we will look for a makeup opportunity in the level that your child is enrolled.

Makeups must receive approval prior to attendance. Makeups can only be used for Chesterbrook programming clinics during the session in which the player is enrolled.
