Membership Information

Chesterbrook Swim and Tennis Club has 550 Class A memberships. As described in the Bylaws, the Club grants summer use privileges to individuals or families (“Summer Members”); the Club is limited to 110 Summer Memberships. As Class A memberships become available (when current members decide to sell their membership), Summer Members are offered the opportunity to become Class A Members. If offered a Class A membership, Summer Members must become Class A members or relinquish their summer membership.

How to Apply for the Summer Membership

Summer Member registration for the 2026 season will take place on January 10, 2026.

When registration opens, a link to the online registration form will appear on the club website, www.chesterbrookclub.com. Complete the registration form and press Submit. Each form submission is time-stamped and must be received within the six-hour window. Please submit only one form per household — multiple submissions will not increase your chances of selection. Applications are accepted only through the online form. Emails and phone calls are not accepted as applications.

The Membership Director will contact applicants after the random drawing to inform them whether they are being offered Summer Membership and summer use privileges. This process begins on March 16^th and continues for several weeks.

Chesterbrook does not maintain a waitlist. Names of individuals or families who register but are not offered a Summer Membership are not carried over to the following year. If you are not selected, you must reapply the next January to be considered again.

Applicants who are offered Summer Membership do not need to reapply in future years. Membership is only available to individuals or families who reside in Virginia and all living at the same household address.

If you were a Summer Member with summer use privileges the prior year, you retain your membership and do not need to re-register (but must still pay Summer Membership dues to maintain your status).

2026 Registration & Payment Due Dates

Any member who has not paid by April 15^th will lose their membership per CST bylaws.

Full Membership

The cost of a full membership includes: a $1,500 one-time initiation fee (not refundable when the membership is sold), a $2,000 one-time share purchase (refunded when the membership is sold), the annual dues described below, and an annual capital assessment charge of $150 per year, paid for the first 5 years of membership.

Full members retain their membership until they decide to sell and may vote at all annual and special meetings and participate in year-round activities.

Annual dues for 2025:
$1,452 (one or two members in the family)
$1,551 (three or more in the family)
Reduced dues (65+): $1,307 for one or two; $1,396 for three or more

Annual dues are non-refundable and must be paid by March 15^th each year. Payments received after March 15^th are charged a 25% late fee.

A membership “family” includes all individuals residing in the same household: spouses or partners, parents, minor children, adult children under 25 who are full-time students or who normally reside in the household, grandparents living in the household, and childcare providers currently employed by the household and caring for a child.

Summer Membership

Summer Membership dues for 2025 are $2,145 per household, regardless of size. Summer use privileges include access to the Club during the swimming season (typically mid-May through Labor Day; dates may vary depending on weather and staffing).

Pathway to Full Membership

As Full Memberships become available, the Membership Director extends offers to Summer Members based on the date and time of their original application — first come, first served.

August Passes

A limited number of August Passes are offered each year to individuals or families who were not offered a Summer Membership. August Passholders have access from August 1 through August 30 (exact dates and pricing subject to change annually). The 2025 August Pass cost was $915 per household.
